Family Dining At Disney
If you are planning family dining at Disney in any of the table service restaurants while on your Disney vacation you need to make reservations in advance. Disney calls these Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) – and if you know the restaurant you prefer and time of dining, then you need to make the reservation 90 days in advance.
You can make these ADR’s online by visiting: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/. You will need to provide the names of everyone in your dining party and you need a credit card to confirm your reservation. This option is especially valuable if you are visiting Disney with small children and plan to use a babysitting service in order to enjoy an adult evening without the children in tow.
Another option for family dining at Disney if dining at a table service restaurant is not for you, try out the “Picnic in the Park” service available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The Picnic in the Park option is just what it says – you order a family meal when you enter the park in the morning and then at lunch time you collect your picnic – in a special reusable Disney bag which you’ll be able to use back home. You can then enjoy your picnic meal with the family at designated picnic sites in the area.
